Have you dreamt of traveling across the cobblestones of Paris with a glass of champagne and the best fromage at your fingertips while learning about the amazing history of the City of Light? If so, we have the perfect experience for you.

What began as a chance meeting in a French 2CV on a live YouTube video grew into an amazing idea combining two people and their love of Paris.

Alex was born and raised in Paris and from an early age always looked up to capture the details of the Haussmann architecture. Claudine has had Paris in her blood from the long line of Hemingway’s that came before and a love of sharing it with others. Together they know the history of the city they adore and all her secrets that are waiting to be uncovered.

Our 2CV tours are completely customized. Each tour includes special treats, wine or champagne, and a keepsake or two as well as an experience you will never forget. What makes our tours different is the ability to stop and explore the churches, parks, passages, tiny streets, and the edges of the Seine. Want to explore an arrondissement you have never visited, we can do that. Brought to you in a fun and engaging way combining two points of view of the greatest city in the world.

Each tour will begin long before with a video call going over what you may want to see. We will bring together your wishes and our ideas starting with a three-hour experience only for you.

Just a few ideas and themes we can include:

Passages

At one time Paris had over one hundred passages that protected the well-heeled Parisians from the mud and rain. Before this, one had to visit multiple stores blocks apart to buy everything they would need. At the turn of the 19th century, the first passages were opened in Paris and a new sensation and precursor to the shopping mall was born.

Today, only 30 remain and each in a very unique way is filled with shops, cafes, hotels, and ethnic food and holds a slice of history waiting to be uncovered.

Churches

Each of the churches of Paris holds amazing art, relics, and architecture and no two are the same. Some of the greatest artists of France are hung on the walls of what is essentially the first museums of Paris. Delacroix, Charles Le Brun, and Eustache Le Sueur hang in the Louvre but can also be uncovered in the churches scattered throughout the city.

From the last jube screen in Paris of Saint Etienne de Mont and the Relics of Sainte Geneviève to the holy water font shells given to Francois I in the 16th century in Saint Sulpice each church of Paris is a treasure to behold.

Food Tours

Let’s face it, the food of France is one of the best in the world. From the cheese to the foie gras and let's not forget the wine, it is foodie nirvana. But, it can be overwhelming and many visitors rest their weary feet at the first bistro they find only to end up spending a lot more on a not-great meal. On this tour, we will show you our favorite of all places in Paris that have the best cheese, pâté, charcuterie, and produce to create the perfect picnic. Or if you want to leave all that in the hands of others we can guide you through one of the greatest wine bars in Paris. Loved by the dearly departed Anthony Bourdain, Yves Camdeborde’s L’Avant Comptoir de la Terre is a must for everyone visiting Paris. With its ceilings filled with tiles of the tastiest food you will find, you may not know where to start, we can help with that and the amazing staff’s knowledge of its natural wine selection will round out the perfect meal.

Paris by Night

Paris is the tale of two cities, the one during the light of day and the one that comes alive after the sun goes down. There is something magical about driving the small streets of Paris where the buildings and monuments are lit up in the most perfect way possible and highlight something you would never notice during the day.

This tour can also include a stop or two at a favorite wine or cocktail bar along the way and topped with the best views of Paris.

Claudine’s Naughty Tour

Want an ever deeper look into Paris after dark? Paris is a city of stories with many chapters to unfold. One such chapter is the naughtier side of Paris and the tales of the Courtesans, brothels, writers the many figures that lend to the seedier life of Paris that is the most fun to share and explore.

Architecture

Dating as far back as the 2nd century the architecture of Paris has captivated the dreams of many. A combination of the Renaissance buildings under Francois I to the Paris of Haussmann and Napoleon III each block of Paris can come to life with the stories of those who lived there.

Literature

In Midnight in Paris, Gil dreamed of a Paris when great authors like Hemingway & Fitzgerald filled the cafes of Saint Germain. The intellectual Left Bank with endless bookstores kept the Lost Generation in touch with each other as they filled their endless pages depicting their lives in Paris. The tour includes where they lived, worked, and a few places that inspired them.

Famous Movie Scenes

Speaking of Gil and Midnight in Paris. Paris has always been the star of any movie or TV show she appears in. On this tour, we can zoom you around the city and into the spots made famous by your favorite movie.

Off the Beaten Path

Have you been to Paris many times and thought you had seen it all? Allow us to take you down the hidden-in-plain-sight streets & tiny parks away from the normal visitor paths. Many of the greatest stories in Paris's history happened in the neighborhoods and rues in the shadows.

Famous French Figures

Marie Antoinette, Josephine Baker, Rose Valland, and Napoleon and Josephine are just a few of the famous characters we have been asked to dive into and drive into. The 2CV is the perfect way to explore the stories that took place all over the city.

From the location of the former Temple prison where Marie Antoinette and her family were held to the Conciergerie also known as the antechamber of death and into the center of the Place de la Concorde. All are locations from the last years of the life of the scapegoat queen. Want to visit her final resting place, we can do that as well.

Who are we ?

We met on September 10th and we directly shared the idea of experiencing our vision of Paris in a more lively, close, heart warming way, culturally inspired,
